Albiana

Our beginnings date back to year 1936, when an estate with 20 ha of land was purchased. It was bought by the late Albin Žaren with hard-earned money from 11 years of work in Canada. He and his wife Ana started cultivating the first vineyards. For many years it was a mixed farm, with diverse activities. The tradition has continued by his son Janez and his wife Berta, who remained on the farm. Today, the third generation is continuing the tradition. Of the three children, Jernej's love of the land paved the way for him on the farm. Today, with his wife Lidija and three children, he dedicates himself exclusively to viticulture and winemaking. We are proud of our cellar, which has a rich history and tradition. It is distinguished by its venerable age, according to available data over 300 years. In our cellar, in addition to other wines, we mostly produce Cviček wine, special in all respects, for which we are also best known. In Cviček wine, we try to emphasize freshness and drinkability from year to year.

We believe that top quality is only possible with complete dedication and constant learning. We dedicate ourselves to the vine with precision and love. We have 90,000 vines planted on approximately 20 ha of land. It is at this time that a pleasant change is taking place on our estate. We have created a new brand of our wines. We named it ALBIANA. The name represents those two who were the pioneers of everything we do today - ALBIN and ANA. Under this brand, we produce and sell bottled wines of higher quality: Sauvignon, Welschriesling, Gr
üner Silvaner, Chardonnay, Rosé, Blaufränkisch, Blaufränkisch Alto, Yellow muscat and our first sparkling wine. As befits a winemaker, we also organize tours of the farm and cellar with tastings of our wines. It is for this purpose that we have a new tasting room and four rooms for overnight stays. All wine enthusiasts are invited to visit us. We will do our best to make the best experience. We believe in tradition, in our land, vines and grapes, in our knowledge and our wines. The result is satisfied drinkers who reach for our wines again and again.

Zelo drobni mehurčki s številnimi verižicami iskrenja potrdijo, da gre za klasično metodo proizvodnje. Prvi vonjalni vtis prinese poznavalske finese, izstopajočo mineralno in značilno noto brioša, kar sta ključna atributa, ki ju penina mora imeti in ju ima. Zmerna kislost je po godu modnim smernicam. To je pravi »brut« zato, ker smo razmerje med kislostjo in sladkostjo idealno uravnotežili, da se ohranijo lastnosti zelo suhe penine. Zato je naš brut odlična, elegantna aperitivna penina.
