In Šmalčja vas near Šentjernej, there is a family and wine-growing farm Martinčič. The beginnings date back more than hundred years, when their ancestors planted the first vineyard and found that the Dolenjska land and sky give the vine a special home, which allows the winegrowers to make a precious drop from its fruit. In the cradle of Cviček, they focused on quality and listened to nature. "Prefer less and better" was their rule, which they still follow today and also apply to wines from their cellar. Due to the gentle, consistent and fast processing of grapes, the wines are very fresh, pleasantly fruity, with a rich range of flavors and, above all, drinkable.

They will show you their cellar where their wines are matured and where all the award-winning wines are produced. With prior notice, they are happy to prepare a tasting of their wines. Up to 50 people can be accepted, and smaller groups, of course. You can reach for a bottle of their wine in restaurants or shops all over Slovenia - "wine with a rooster".
