Zajc is a story of joy in life. Zajc wines are different, social and each unique. Confident and never jealous, they are merely happy every time they meet again. The uninterrupted winemaking tradition of Zajc dates back to 1858 at the latest, when our oldest Cviček vineyard in Cirnik near Mokrice came into family ownership. Today, grapes are grown in all six locations (Cirnik, Knežija, Ivandol, Sromlje, Silovec, Marof) and almost 70.000 vines in a nature-friendly manner and are harvested exclusively by hand. We are also the only producer of organic Cviček. After the construction of the new cellar in 2007, the circle of friends of Zajc wines is expanding at home and abroad, and we are trying to return the gratitude for the trust by winning medals at the most important wine competitions (Vino Slovenija, Decanter...). Among the latest awards is also the highest rated Blaufränkisch of the year 2018 in the world (Decanter, 90 points). For all who would like to enjoy Zajc wines, we can arrange home delivery.
